Welcome to the Armed Forces
The Swedish Armed Forces are constantly at readiness to carry out international operations, uphold Sweden's national integrity and support civil society in the event of major crises.
The capability to engage in armed combat sets the Armed Forces apart from other authorities. Our primary mission is to deal with military threats and armed conflicts. Today our service personnel are to be found the world over engaged in peace support operations. The Armed Forces constitute one of Sweden's largest authorities and are led by the Supreme Commander.
