In Sweden

The organisation of the Armed Forces consists of an authoritative command and a training unit, schools and centres. The units train the response unit and can then be used for both national and international missions.

The authoritative command consists of the Supreme Command, the SC, and the director general, who is the deputy head of authority. The central command of the Armed Forces is located in the Headquarters. The Headquarters also house the Operative Unit, the OPU, which supervises missions in Sweden and abroad.

Army, naval and airborne units, as well as schools and centres, train the units which are then deployed for the mission. The National Defence training units also have rapid response resources on standby in the form of protection forces, anti-terror units and home defence units.

The Armed Forces logistics centre, FMLOG, is responsible for maintenance and support both for training units, schools and centres and for deployed units.
