The Armed Forces Medical Centre, for example, ensures that efficient and effective medical services are in place to support the Armed Forces in peacetime, in international operations and in the event of crisis or disaster as well as in a situation of armed conflict.
The majority of the Armed Forces centres also act in a consultancy role for the Swedish parliament and are engaged in the development of tactics, technology and methods in their respective areas.
